Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Study-Wise (“the Service”), operated by StudyWise Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202623941H) (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated in Singapore.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Accounts may only be created by persons aged 18 or over. Study-Wise is a tool for children to use under the supervision of their parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, you confirm that:

• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You are the parent or legal guardian of any child profiles you create.
• You are responsible for your child’s use of the Service.
• All information you provide is accurate and complete.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way associated with the Ministry of Education Singapore (MOE). Our content is written to align with MOE syllabi, but Study-Wise is an independent commercial product.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at admin@study-wise.org if you suspect unauthorised access.

Each account is for a single family. You may not share your account with other families or use it for any commercial purpose (e.g. as a tuition agency account) without our prior written consent.

Study-Wise is offered as a monthly subscription. Details of current plans and pricing are shown on our pricing page.

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance.
• Automatic renewal: Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You will be charged using your saved payment method. We will send you a receipt by email before each renewal.
• To cancel, visit your Account page and cancel before the next billing date. Cancelling stops future charges; you retain access until the end of the current paid period.
• Per-profile plans: each child profile has its own plan tier and is billed separately at that tier’s price. An account may hold up to 4 child profiles in any combination of tiers, of which at most one may be on the free Spark plan. There is no multi-profile discount. Add-ons are also chosen per profile.
• Prices are in Singapore Dollars (S$). StudyWise Pte. Ltd. is not currently GST-registered; no GST is charged.

The Spark plan is free of charge, indefinitely, and no payment method is required to use it. The following conditions apply:

• One free profile per account. Additional child profiles require a paid plan, and each profile is billed at its own plan’s price.
• The free plan includes a monthly question allowance and a limited subset of features. Allowances and feature sets are described on our pricing page and may change; material reductions will be notified in advance.
• Practice paper bundles may be purchased on the free plan. These are one-off purchases, separate from any subscription, and are charged once. Holiday packs are not sold separately — they are included in full with paid plans, and free-plan profiles may open the first week of each pack.
• You can delete a free account at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes it and every child profile on it, including all practice history, mastery records, reports and rewards, from our systems. This is the same right, and the same deletion, on a free account as on a paid one — being on the free plan never limits your control over your child’s data. See our Privacy Policy for how this works under the PDPA.
• We may suspend or remove an account that is used in breach of these Terms. Where practical we will give notice first.
• Referral codes from existing members grant account credit, usable against a subscription or a one-off purchase. Credit has no cash value and is not refundable. See section 10.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We offer a refund of the most recent charge if you contact us within 7 days of being billed and have not used the Service during that billing period. Outside this window, we do not provide partial-month refunds.

To request a refund, email admin@study-wise.org with your account email and reason, or use our contact form.

If your payment fails, your account enters a 7-day grace period during which access continues. If payment is not resolved within 7 days, access is suspended until the outstanding amount is settled.

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with people outside your household.
• Use automated tools, bots, scripts, crawlers, or scrapers to access the Service.
• Systematically download, scrape, harvest, cache, index, or otherwise bulk-extract questions, answers, explanations, or any other content, whether manually or by automated means.
• Use any part of the Service or its content to train, fine-tune, or develop any machine-learning model, dataset, or competing product, or to provide a commercial tutoring or content service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the platform or its content.
• Remove, obscure, or alter any watermark, copyright notice, or other identifying mark on any content.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable Singapore law.
• Register more than one account to circumvent subscription or free-plan limits.

Device usage is subject to per-plan limits: 2 devices per profile on Spark, and 4 devices per profile on Scholar and Champion. Device slots are pooled across every profile on the account. Exceeding this limit may result in access being suspended until a device is removed.

All content on Study-Wise — including questions, explanations, curriculum materials, skill taxonomies, software, and design — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your child’s personal, non-commercial educational purposes during your active subscription.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, sell, sub-licence, rent, broadcast, display, or create derivative works from any part of the Service or its content, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent. This includes sharing content with other families, tuition centres, or study groups, and posting it to any public, shared, or third-party location.

You may download or print exam papers, reports, and individual questions solely for the personal, non-commercial use of the child profile that generated them. Such copies remain our property, may not be redistributed, resold, or shared, and must retain all copyright and identifying notices.

Downloadable and printable content carries a watermark unique to your account, which allows us to trace the origin of any redistributed material. Removing, obscuring, or altering this watermark or any copyright notice is a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension of your account.

Some visual content within Study-Wise — including illustrations, character images, and reward graphics used in our gamification features — is generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence (AI) tools. This content is reviewed and curated by our team before being included in the Service.

AI-generated images are used for engagement and motivational purposes only. They do not form part of our educational curriculum or assessments. No personal data about you or your child is sent to AI image generation services.

You may share your unique referral code with other families. A family that signs up using your code receives account credit immediately. You earn account credit once that family subscribes to a paid plan; signing up for the free plan, or making a one-off purchase, does not earn the referrer credit.

• Credit is held per account, not per child profile, and is spent automatically against your next eligible charge — a subscription bill or a one-off purchase such as a practice paper bundle. Any remainder stays on the account.
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral programme at any time. Fraudulent referrals (e.g. self-referrals or fake accounts) will result in credits being forfeited and the account suspended.

Chinese Enrichment, Learn to Read and Oral Practice are included with the Scholar and Champion plans at no extra charge and cannot be purchased separately. Coding and AI are paid add-ons at S$4.99 per month per profile, billed monthly and cancelling with your subscription. Both are included at no extra charge with the Champion plan. Free examination papers are granted per subject, per profile, per calendar year, at the number stated for your plan on the pricing page. Additional papers may be purchased as a one-off bundle, which may be used on any subject. Exam pack purchases are non-refundable once the pack has been opened.

Study-Wise is an educational practice tool. We do not guarantee any particular academic outcome, exam result, or school placement. Progress on the platform reflects engagement with our content and does not constitute a formal academic assessment.

The Service is provided “as is”. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or fitness of the Service for any particular purpose beyond personal educational practice.

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of anticipated savings.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
