For parents

A small, daily ritual.
No noise.

Ten minutes a day, tuned to exactly where your child is — built on the Singapore curriculum. Learning science shows that practice with feedback beats tutorials. We do that.

01

Will it actually help my child?

Like a personal tutor — but smarter

Our engine maps 400+ skills across 4 subjects — adjusting difficulty in real time, resurfacing what's fading, and finding the root gaps other apps miss. Accessible 24/7, from S$4.99/mo — less than one tuition session.

See how it fits together

The method

Not a worksheet on a screen — an engine that powers your child’s growth.

Your job is simple: pick the plan and watch them grow. The engine handles everything else — diagnosing gaps, selecting questions, tracking mastery, and optimizing difficulty in real time.

01

We understand and react to every answer

Each question answered quietly updates your child's mastery level of that exact skill. Right answers raise it; a careless slip barely dents it. Over time, a clear picture forms — their academic strengths, and the specific gaps to close.

02

We aim for the sweet spot

Each question is calibrated to be challenging enough to stretch your child but not so hard that it discourages. This balance between challenge and confidence is where real learning happens. As your child improves, we gradually increase difficulty to keep them in that optimal zone.

03

We bring skills back before they fade

Memory fades without use — roughly half of an untouched skill slips in about six weeks. We track that forgetting curve per skill and resurface things at the right moment, so what is learned actually sticks.

04

We follow the school calendar

Practice leans into what the class is covering this term and softly holds back topics that are still months away — so daily practice reinforces school, never races ahead of it.

05

We solve problems at the root

Drilling a weak skill harder doesn't help if the real problem is the foundation underneath. By mapping skill prerequisites and dependencies, we ensure each child masters the necessary before progressing to the next skill. Less repetition, faster progress, better results.

Five difficulty tiers, per skill

We move your child up and down to hold them in the desirable difficulty zone — challenged, not defeated.

The research

Informed by learning science.
Built as something new.

We studied how children actually learn — the peer-reviewed evidence, not the marketing claims. The strongest finding: retrieval practice with immediate feedback produces dramatically deeper learning than passive tutorials. From there, we built a bespoke algorithm combining the strongest findings in adaptive learning into one system designed for Singapore primary school children. Here is the research that guided us.

Superior

evidence for retrieval practice vs tutorials

01

Learning through practice and feedback beats passive tutorials

Peer-reviewed research consistently shows that retrieval practice — the act of retrieving information from memory through problem-solving — produces far deeper and more durable learning than passive instruction or tutorial-heavy approaches. The testing effect is among the most robust findings in cognitive science: simply being tested on material strengthens memory far more than reviewing explanations alone. When combined with immediate, quality feedback, the effect multiplies. This is why Study-Wise is built around practice with intelligent feedback, not passive video lessons.

Optimal

challenge-confidence balance

02

Your child should not be getting everything right

A 2019 study in Nature Communications found that learning is fastest when there is a balance between challenge and confidence. We use this principle to calibrate each question — hard enough to stretch your child without being demoralizing. As your child strengthens a skill, we gradually increase difficulty to keep them in this optimal learning zone.

03

Adaptive skill tracking is 2.5× more effective than generic drill

A review of 196 studies found that systems tracking mastery step‑by‑step score an effect size of 0.76 — nearly matching a human tutor's 0.79. Generic question banks that simply mark answers right or wrong? Just 0.31. This is why we built our engine on established models from intelligent tutoring research — not just checking answers, but tracking exactly what your child knows, skill by skill, and choosing the next question based on that precision. It is fundamentally different from apps that serve the same worksheet to every child, regardless of what they have already mastered.

retention from spaced practice vs cramming

04

Without review, most learning fades within days

A landmark review of over 800 assessments — spanning more than 300 experiments — found that spaced review doubles retention compared to cramming. Our engine tracks when your child last practised each skill and models how that knowledge decays over time. When something begins to fade, it resurfaces automatically, at the right interval. No revision schedule for you to manage.

Large

effect size for primary school children

05

For primary children, enjoyment is a learning multiplier

A meta‑analysis of over 5,000 students found that gamification significantly boosts learning outcomes for primary school children. The younger the child, the more enjoyment drives learning outcomes. A five‑year study of 3,425 students showed why: enjoyment in maths directly predicted higher achievement, and higher achievement predicted more enjoyment. A virtuous cycle. This is why we invested in a low-stimulation gamification layer: buddies with distinct personalities to guide each session, a crystal economy that gives a sense of progress, and collectible relics with rich lore to explore. The design is deliberately calm — no flashing lights, no notifications engineered to hook, no streaks to chase. Instead, progress feels meaningful, learning feels like a shared adventure, and your child comes back willingly so the engine can do its best work.

98th

percentile vs classroom peers

06

Mastery tutoring outperforms 98 % of classroom instruction

In 1984, Benjamin Bloom published a groundbreaking research paper documenting a striking finding: students who received mastery‑based tutoring outperformed 98 % of conventionally taught peers — a two standard deviation gap. The research results were clear, but the challenge was always replicating this at scale. Fast forward to today: Study-Wise has the answer — an adaptive engine that precisely addresses this challenge. We track mastery per skill — not per topic, not per test — and advance your child only when a skill is genuinely consolidated. When mastery fades, the engine brings it back.

Bloom. "The 2 Sigma Problem." Educational Researcher 13(6), 1984.

Our engine draws from all of the above research — but it is not a copy of any single study. We studied these papers deeply, then built something new: a system that combines the strongest findings in mastery tracking, difficulty calibration, memory retention, and curriculum pacing — all customised for Singapore primary school children. Every number on this page comes from a peer‑reviewed journal, which means independent experts read and verified the research before it was published. We have cited the original papers above, so you are welcome to search the titles and read the evidence for yourself, if you would like to.

One skill map underneath all of it

Every mode draws on the same 400+ MOE-aligned skills. A fraction in a mission, an exam paper and a daily game are the same skill, met three different ways — which is exactly what makes it stick.

Missions are the spine

Only missions move your child's mastery. Exam packs pressure-test it, camps deepen it, daily games keep it quick, enrichment widens it — but the daily ten questions are what the engine learns from, so that is the habit worth protecting.

It all lands in one report

You do not have to track it all yourself. Mastery, exam scores, camp certificates, reading and add-ons arrive together — monthly on every plan, weekly on Champion.

Questions

Honest answers.

Why practice-based learning and not tutorial videos?+

Decades of learning science research show that retrieval practice — solving problems and being tested — produces far deeper learning than passive instruction. Tutorials are helpful for orientation, but the real learning happens through struggle and feedback. Your child learns algebra better by doing 20 problems with explanations than by watching 20 minutes of video. We built Study-Wise on this evidence: ten questions a session with immediate, intelligent feedback, not passive lessons.

Is the content aligned to the Singapore syllabus?+

Yes. Every question follows the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) syllabus — the same curriculum behind Singapore's world-leading results in maths, science, and reading. The skill map covers P1–P6 (ages 7–12) and the Nurturing Early Learners framework for K1–K2 (ages 5–6), spanning English, Math, Science, and Chinese. Questions are set in authentic Singapore contexts, and every skill carries a formal syllabus reference.

How is this different from worksheets or a tuition centre?+

A worksheet is the same for every child. Here, the next ten questions are chosen for your child specifically — reinforcing what is shaky, stretching what is solid, and bringing skills back before they fade. It complements school and tuition; it does not replace the teacher.

Will the pace guide make my child anxious?+

It is deliberately gentle. We show whether your child is ahead of, on, or building toward the pace of peers at the same level — as a guide, never a public ranking. There are no leaderboards to top, no streaks engineered to hook, and no ads.

What about the gamification — is it designed to be addictive?+

No. Our gamification is deliberately low-stimulation: buddies with distinct personalities guide each session, crystals give a sense of progress, and collectible relics come with rich lore to discover. The design has no flashing lights, no notifications to pull your child back in, and no time pressure. The goal is to make learning feel like a shared adventure, not to engineer screen time or habit loops. We want your child to come back because they find it enjoyable and see real progress — not because we've designed them to.

How much time does it take?+

Each session is ten questions — about ten quiet minutes. One a day is a solid daily ritual that compounds over a term; more sessions mean deeper understanding and quicker mastery of skills.

What do I actually see as a parent?+

A clear dashboard of your child's week, the specific topics to nudge, and — on Scholar — mastery trends, syllabus coverage by subject, and the peer pacing guide. Once a month, a one-page note summarises progress in plain language.

I'm already trying to limit screen time — why add another app?+

Fair question, and one we designed around. There is no infinite feed here: ten questions, then the session ends — nothing else to pull your child back in. No autoplay, no ads, no streaks engineered to hook. Most families use it as a swap, not an add-on — ten minutes of focused, syllabus-aligned practice in place of ten minutes of undirected scrolling, not on top of it.

How does it actually adapt to my child?+

Every answer updates a private estimate of how well your child knows that exact skill — a few right answers in a row move them up, a wrong one brings more practice on that gap, and one careless slip barely changes anything. We tune each question to sit at a sweet spot: challenging enough that it does not feel like busywork, gentle enough that it does not feel demoralising. Skills your child has already mastered get quietly resurfaced before they would normally start to fade, and everything stays paced to what their class is covering that term.

What happens if I upgrade or downgrade my child's plan?+

Upgrades apply immediately — your child gets the new tier's questions, subjects and analytics right away, and we charge a prorated top-up for the rest of the current billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period: your child keeps everything on the current plan until then, since you've already paid for it. A plan downgrade only changes the person plan — any paid add-ons stay on and keep renewing separately unless you remove them yourself.

Is there a free trial?+

Yes — every new account gets a 7-day free trial on whichever plan you choose, so you can experience the full features of that tier with your own child. Your card is saved at signup but not charged for the plan until the trial ends — cancel anytime before then. Any add-ons you choose are billed from day one.

Can I cancel anytime?+

Yes, anytime from Account → Manage billing. We don't issue cash refunds: if you remove one profile but keep others on the account, the unused time on that profile's plan is credited toward your next bill. Removing your only profile, or closing your account, ends billing right away with no credit for the time left in the period.

Is there a referral programme?+

Yes — every account has a unique referral code you can share via WhatsApp or email straight from your account page. When another parent signs up with your code, they get a free 14-day trial at their chosen plan (instead of the standard 7-day trial). Once they complete their first paid month, you earn S$10 in account credit — applied automatically to your next bill. There's no limit to how many friends you can refer.
